Employee Giving Campaign || Circle of Commitment || October 12 & 14||
Thank you for your interest in our volunteer opportunities at Saint Joseph Hospital.
The following are steps needed to become a volunteer.
Complete the application and return it to the SJH Foundation Volunteer Services Department to the address indicated on the application. Once your application is received, you will receive a phone call to arrange for an interview.
During the interview, you will be introduced to the Volunteer program. If you wish to proceed with becoming a member of the organization, you will be required to:
Complete and sign a release form allowing Saint Joseph Hospital to perform a background check.
Complete a drug/alcohol screen which is provided by the Hospital’s Occupational Health Department.
Complete a series of two TB tests which is also provided by the Hospital’s Occupational Department.
Provide an immunization record at the time of the TB test.
Once the background check and the first TB test and drug/alcohol screening is complete, the final step is to attend our orientation program. Orientations are held on Tuesdays at 1:00pm or Thursdays at 10:00am for approximately one and a half hours. The orientation reviews details regarding the Foundation and the Volunteer department, along with a short tour of the hospital.
Upon completion of these steps, you will be placed within your designated department to begin your volunteer assignment.
Thank you for your interest in the Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation Volunteer Services Department. We look forward to receiving your application soon.
